Who We Are

Beis Eliyahu is a center located in Cleveland Heights, Ohio that is dedicated to the study of Halacha. With two groups studying Choshen Mishpat and Yoreh Deiah, Beis Eliyahu is the only center solely devoted to Halacha and Halachic rulings in the entire Midwest.

The Programs of Beis Eliyahu

Beis Eliyahu houses two programs of study.

The Yoreh Deiah program teaches all aspects of Halacha which pertain to day to day life, both in the home and in our daily interactions.

The Choshen Mishpat program teaches the intricate laws and rulings in everyday business dealings.

Beis Eliyahu runs under the leadership of Rabbi Avraham Bensoussan, who has over four decades of experience in the rabbinate as well as education and community building. Through Rabbi Bensoussan’s guidance, the memebers of Beis Eliyahu learn how to develop the skills required to practically apply the rulings of the Shulchan Aruch and contemporary Halachic authorities, in order to answer both common and complex shailos.

Centrally located in the Cleveland Heights neighborhood, Beis Eliyahu has daily minyanim. The Beis Midrash is also open to the community daily, beginning at 6:30 am until close to midnight.

The communities of Cleveland and the greater Midwest view Beis Eliyahu as a source to answer all Halachic questions which may arise in day to day life regarding personal matters, family matters, and business dealings.
